Mobility plans for primary schools will be created in cooperation with the Slovak University of Technology STU in Bratislava, specifically the SPECTRA Center of Excellence. The center ensures both data collection and evaluation and participates in the creation of proposals. “Well-functioning public transport, illuminated, high-quality and safe sidewalks and roads, welcoming public spaces are natural requirements of every parent who places them on the place where they live, or their child. The long-term cooperation between the SPECTRA Center of Excellence and the city of Trenčín is currently leading to changes that make Trenčín a safe, high-quality and welcoming place to live,” says Vladimír Ondrejička from STU. The first STREETS FOR CHILDREN event within the Mobilities for EU project was organized by the city of Trenčín, the Trenčín Participation Institute with partners ZŠ, Na dolinách, Slovak University of Technology Bratislava, the Doprava na Považí association, Trenčín2026 in cooperation with the state police, the city police, the Trenčín Self-Governing Region – the Populair project and the Transdev company. We are planning another event in the spring at the Primary School on Veľkomoravská Street.
