Rebeka Petrtýlová is a PhD student at Institute of Management of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. She is a graduate of spatial planning which she had a chance to study at the Newcastle University (UK) for one year as part of Erasmus+ programme. She currently also works at the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava at the Section of Urban Studies and Participation. She is interested in the topics of urban waterfront areas, participatory planning, place identity, mapping of public spaces and urbanism. The topic of her dissertation thesis is focused on the management of waterfront areas and their characteristic elements to support the city – river relationship.
