On March 24, 2025, employees of the Institute of Management of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Department of Spatial Planning, carried out a working trip to the municipality of Ratiboř in the Czech Republic as a part of the BeReady – UrBan hEat islands REsilience, prepAreDness and mitigation strategy project (Interreg Danube Region Programme).

The meeting covered following activities:

  • preparation of documentation and presentation for the project workshop, which will be held on 31.3.-2.4.2025
  • development of an evaluation of the project methodology, description of the experience of representatives of Ratiboř municipality with the application of the methodology for the assessment of urban heat islands
  • updating the report on the “Urban Heat Island” in Ratiboř, supplementing data and discussing the pilot project – implementation of adaptation measures in the municipality (green and blue infrastructure measures)
  • selection of adaptation measures for implementation in Ratiboř municipality, discussion with the project partner
  • inspection of climatological measuring devices at 2 locations in Ratiboř
  • measurement of surface temperatures at research locations in Ratiboř.
