Barbora Dubovská is a doctoral student at the Institute of Management of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, field of study – Spatial Planning. She is a master’s degree graduate of Environmental Planning and Management at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University in Bratislava. Her diploma thesis focused on evaluating the quality of selected components of the environment with an emphasis on data detection and interpretation. The topic of her dissertation thesis is focused on the issues of landscape connectivity with emphasis on the support of ecological functions of the landscape. She is dedicated to the development of methodological procedures for spatial planning which relate to the effects of anthropogenic linear barriers as well as proposals for ecological measures for urbanized areas.
Her research activity is very closely connected to ecology, landscape ecology, and landscape
management. She also applies this knowledge in teaching.
