Professor Tibor Schlosser (Faculty of Civil Engineering) opened the series of presentations with his topic on “Transit smart solution for Bratislava”, followed by Katarína Smatanová (Faculty of Architecture and Design) with her speech on “Urban design to promote more health” and “Transport problems and cycle” and finished by Zuzana Ladzianska (Institute of Management) with the topic “Autonomous rail transport as one of the options for the mobility solution in Bratislava region”. Serie of presentations continued in Ljubljana by speakers Vaughn Tan and Jakob Gajšek from the University of Ljubljana.

Students participating at the summer school were not only from Europe (Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Malta, Netherland, Slovakia and Slovenia), as well as from various parts of the world (Ecuador, Mexico, Pakistan and USA). They have created international groups with interdisciplinary profiles allowing them to perform the best possible outcomes. Out of the six groups a “golden winner” was selected. Special congratulation goes to the group “Greenie” with their approach to GreenWay Infrastructure challenge on “Autonomous and portable electric vehicle charging solution”.

It was an outstanding opportunity for students to gain another perspective working in international groups of students with different backgrounds and especially to have the chance to work on the real problems and challenges set by companies dealing with challenging issues on the daily basis.
